she somehow forces a smile as i tear my own heart from my chest, and as she
swipes it from my hands i look to what is under the skies for resolution. it
isn't long before the resources are exhausted. i turn front and center as her
command grabs my full attention. she has become my nobody else, and the
twisting inside that is merciless only when she is in sight. these tears only
fall to the ground when my thoughts are of another.
